Hello! We’re Jenni & Stacey, the mums behind Language & Lullabies. 

Jenni is a Doctor of Music and professional musician; Stacey’s background lies in early years as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. They met 7 years ago when Stacey’s deaf children attended Jenni’s music workshops. Their friendship blossomed through their shared experiences of being part of families that exist within both the D/deaf/F and hearing communities.

Language and Lullabies was born from a deep-rooted motivation to create a high quality, accessible baby/toddler music class through a mix of British Sign Language and spoken English, which would have been valuable for their own deaf children and CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) as well as their hearing peers. 

Language and Lullabies is all about communication – spoken, signed and musical.

At Language and Lullabies, we advocate strongly for appropriate use of British Sign Language, which must be informed and guided by culturally Deaf, native BSL users. We therefore work extremely closely with Sean, our DeaF BSL consultant, who is also a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf and BSL teacher.
